So who is Audit Right?
Audit Right was established in 2011 by Glen Klein. With a purely audit focus, Audit Right offers specialised audit services independent of accounting and administration. Whilst our audit experience predominantly focuses on SMSFs, our experience includes a wide range of entities including Not-for-profit (specialising in churches), AFS Licences, Associations, Travel Agents, Clubs and Trust Accounts.

Glen welcomes the challenge of keeping up to date in the audit arena. He believes in providing direction and feedback to clients, to assist in making the audit process as smooth as possible.

Glen has over ten years of audit experience, with a wide variety of audit engagements. Between 2006 and 2011, he gained a wide range of audit experience in a small audit firm. He has also operated in the role of Mentor for others completing the CPA Program and a voluntary position as Treasurer of the PFC (Parents Friends Community) of Livingstone Christian College.

Between 2001 and 2006 Glen gained valuable audit experience while employed by a small to medium sized specialised audit firm. During this time he was responsible for the audit of a large number of travel agents, and became Audit Manager for superannuation. Specialising in the audit of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds, he was responsible for an audit team of about six members. He gained experience in the audit of Small APRA funds. While working full-time Glen finished his accounting degree and CPA Program, whilst raising a young family.

Prior to 2001 Glen worked in a variety of fields including retail, hospitality and the family signwriting business. In many of these positions he operated as manager and was responsible for accounting systems, payroll, debtors, creditors, stock control, BAS, PAYG and implementation of quality control systems and procedures. Glen remains a silent partner in the family business, which is one of the largest of its type in the Wide Bay Burnett area.

When not being an auditor I like to relax with my wife and three children. We enjoy music, movies, bike-riding, bushwalking, cooking, board games, coffee (hot chocolate for the kids), shopping (sometimes), Wii tournaments. I like to be involved and a part of my families milestones and achievements. According to my children my job involves playing on the computer and drinking coffee, although I was recently impressed by their understanding of what it is that I do. After explaining to my nine year old that auditing was checking that my clients have followed the rules and done the right thing so they don’t get in trouble, she replied, “Well you had better make sure that you are checking properly and doing the right thing so you don’t get in trouble”.
